Amanda Heenan

United Kingdom

Arstist Bio

Amanda Heenan is a Scottish-based watercolour artist working under the name Art for Healing. Self-taught and deeply intuitive in her practice, she works with the quiet capacities of the medium its softness, its tendency toward surrender, its way of carrying light. Her paintings explore the natural world as threshold: birds, flowers, pollinators, and the living edges between things. Originally from South Africa and now rooted in Scotland, Amanda brings to her art a background in peacebuilding, civic mediation, and systems change. A life spent attending to what holds and what heals. That sensibility moves through every wash and mark: an invitation to slow down, soften, and arrive somewhere true. Her work has been shown in the Louvre Unbound global online exhibition, and she is currently developing a healing arts series for exhibition in a hospital setting.
