Arstist Bio

Working with nature’s own colors, textures, and shapes is my invitation to slow down, redefine what art means to me, and to appreciate all that blooms and grows.

My preserved botanics, my “paints,” are collected and slow-pressed in my own handcrafted, hardwood flower presses. As petals flatten, colors evolve and previously overlooked details emerge. Dried flowers have no season; they can keep us company and sing for our affections long after they are done growing.

Ultimately, my practice is rooted in reverence for the natural world and its endless ability to produce color and form more nuanced, strange, and beautiful than anything I could fabricate myself. Nature provides the medium, my art simply seeks to do it justice.
